She graduated from Lincoln Southeast High in the spring of 1963 and shortly there after she married the love of her life Ronald N. Robinson, September 3, 1966. Barbara gave birth to their son, Ronald Blake, on April 26, 1973. Family always came first for Barbara, and there was never a moment she did not jump at the chance to share with others her pride and joy for her beloved husband, son, and daughter.
If you ever experienced the pleasure of being in her company, you soon learned of her passion for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Utah Utes, and Real Salt Lake. We will miss those random late night phone calls rehashing games, the surprise gifts left on the back door step, and even those moments patiently waiting for our turn to be a part of each and every conversation.
While we all struggle to come to terms with our great loss, we find comfort in knowing that she enriched the lives of so many, and that such a generous and caring person can only be contained in one life for so long. We are so thankful that she was able to visit her family and friends during a recent trip home to Nebraska. Now she and Ron can be together again, just in time for what would have been their 50th anniversary. She was loved beyond compare and will never be forgotten.
Preceded in death by her husband Ron. Barbara is survived by her son Ronald Blake and wife Nicolle, mother Letty Phelps, brother Robert G. Phelps and wife Marcia, sister Cathy Marker and husband Robert.
A visitation with the family will be held Saturday August 6, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial for Barbara P. Robinson has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank. All donations will be used to help fund the Granger High School Food Pantry.
