Bertha Evangeline (Montoya) Martinez

Bertha was born in Pagosa Springs, Colorado to Edward and Sophie Montoya. My mom Just really loved life, loved to laugh, was passionate about dancing and music, and adored her 2 children and family. My mom was a very gracious lady, beautiful inside and out. We are heartbroken by her passing.

She is survived by her husband, Benny; daughter, Yvonne; and son, Benny Jr.; sisters, Frances and Cathy; brother, Ed Jr. nieces and nephews; godson Steven; and many dear friends and heartfelt sisters. Preceded in death by her sister, Lenore; brother, Raymond; parents, Edward and Sophie; half brother and sisters; nieces and nephews, brother and sister-in-laws.

A viewing will be held Friday, 6 – 8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. Another viewing will be held Saturday, November 14th, 10 – 10:45 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., also at McDougal Funeral Home. After the service, the procession will continue to Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah.
