Beverly was born in Granger, Utah on October 5, 1928 to Delos Wain and Garnet (Grant) Smith. She attended Cyprus High School, graduating in 1947. Shortly after, she met the man who would become the love of her life and husband, Charles W. Blair. The two wed on February 5, 1949. They welcomed their only child together, daughter, Joan in 1951, completing their family.
For many years, Beverly enjoyed a career at ZCMI while finding time to also be an amazing mother and wife. Her ability to find perfect balance was most evident as a grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She had an incredible way of making each grandchild feel loved equally and entirely.
After retiring from ZCMI, Beverly's true passion took root as she began volunteering at Pioneer Valley Hospital. The death of her husband in 1993 caused a great void which she filled by devoting her time and energy to volunteering full time. She made dear friends that became an extended family and meant the world to her. They've shared memories together that she always held near and dear to her heart. When her daughter was able to join her as a volunteer, she was over the moon! For over 20 years, she gave her time and loved absolutely every minute of it.
Bev was the best kind of feisty, hilarious without even trying, strong and resilient beyond comprehension, keeping the smile on her face through any trials life had to offer. She was endlessly patient and accepting, never showing anything but love and true compassion when it was needed most. Family meant so much to her and she always made sure they knew just how much. She's already sorely missed and forever will be.
Beverly was preceded in death by her mother; Garnet (Grant) Smith, father; Delos Wain Smith, husband; Charles W. Blair, and, only three short weeks ago, her daughter and very best friend, Joan (Blair) Brgoch.
She is survived by her brother; Gary Smith, grandchildren; Travis Brgoch (Mary), Jessica Jafari (Jason), and Michael Brgoch (Lesley), five great-grandchildren; Rylee, Zaydee, Marki, Dakota, and Aiden, one great-great-grandson; Brycen, as well as several other dear extended family members.
