Brenda Ann Valdez

Brenda was born June 27th, 1957, in Beaver Dam, Kentucky to Phillip and Betty Givens. She was a happy and outgoing child, characteristics that were present throughout her whole life. In 1987 Brenda met the love of her life, Jesus Valdez, Sr., and in 1989 the two got married.

Brenda was a very loving, caring, and understanding person who loved everyone equally and opened her arms and home up to anyone. She had a smile that would soften the hearts of the hardest people out there and no matter where she went, she made friends because she was that special, and it was a blessing if you were in her presence. She was an animal lover through and through, may it be her horses when she was younger, or her dogs as she got older (Diablo and Wow-Wow are missing you). She was always clowning and joking with everyone, especially with her grandkids, Jayden and Marissa.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Jesus Valdez Sr.; children: son, Joseph Privett; daughter, Crystal (James) Romero; son, Jesus Valdez Jr.; and son, Jose Valdez (Wendy); grandkids: Tyler, Matthew, Gavin, JoeJoe, Paul, Ashley, Jesus Valdez III, Antonio, D'Angelo, Jayden, Marissa, and lots of great grandkids and nieces and nephews. Her brother, Jeff Givens; sisters: Beverly Givens and Pam Gonzales.

Preceded in death by her parents: Phillip and Betty Givens; Jose Santos Valdez (papa santos); Maria Valdez; sister, Barbara; and grandson, Dakota.

A visitation will be held at Valley View Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT 84120, US, on June 25, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
