Years and years ago you and I sat together in Mr. Brent's fifth grade class. You never ceased to make me smile and were always there for me. I remember when you told me that you were going to be moving away from our quiet town of Grantsville and we promised each other that we would stay in touch. And I will always regret not keeping in touch with you. It wasn't until later I had found out of your passing and I hated myself for years. I told myself that if I had stayed in touch maybe something would have changed. But I know if I did that you would be looking down on me and tell me to knock it off haha. I miss you Brent. And I hope you are at rest now.

I was driving home from St George today and saw white clouds in the blue sky and the beautiful mountains.  It made me think of you and how much you loved the outdoors.  What a beautiful day today was.  Heaven must be amazing.  If the view here is that breath taking I can only imagine what you get to experience every day.  We all wish you were still with us.  Not a day goes by that we don't think of you or feel the pain of your absence.  One day we'll see you again and everything else won't matter anymore.    Until then I hope you are at peace and know that we love you so very much and miss you every day.  Please continue to watch over your Mom and Dad and Grandma Montoya.  Love you Monster!

A year ago today, you were laid to rest.  Life hasn't been the same since.  No words can ever explain how we can have such heavy hearts filled with sadness and at the same time  our hearts feel so empty, because you are gone.  You now know how much you were loved and how much we miss you. I hope that your value to our family was never a question or doubt in your mind.  I also hope that you are finally at peace.  Rest in love Monster!

Brent was a student in my English Language Arts class (2013 - 2014) and I enjoyed his contributions. He was positive, fun to work with, and well liked among his peers. I will not forget his decency or his kindness. I will continue to pray for his family and friends who are mourning this loss.

Brent,  you will forever be on our minds and in our hearts.  We love you.  

Aunt Lily and Uncle Mark, we love you and are here for you.  Aunt Lily, you are a tough cookie.  You have proven that to us many times.  Your strength has always amazed me.  We pray for both of you every day and hope you two find peace and comfort knowing you have so much support from friends and family.

Brent was one of my best friends, I knew him through out grade school, I was lucky to have a friend like him. I am so sorry for your loss.

Lydia, there are no words of comfort. No words can heal a shattered heart. No words can answer "How can this be real"? I hate you are now on this path. It is one I wish for no one to travel. Please know, if you need ANYTHING,call or message me. I don't have all the answers, since I'm still new to it, but I can listen. This grief process is different for everyone, and there is no right or wrong to it. It can be overwhelming at times. You and your family are in my prayers.
