He was born on September 12, 1957 to Marva Rawlings and Louis Egbert Corbridge in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from Cyprus High School in 1975. Following graduation Cal served an LDS mission in Anaheim, CA. He received his Associates Degree from Utah Technical College, where he served as Student Body President in 1981. Cal married FranCine Nelson on March 27, 1986 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Cal had a love for movies and worked part-time for the Valley View Drive-In for over 20 years. He worked for First Security Bank for 19 years, and was currently employed with Utah Housing Corporation following 20 years of dedicated service.
Cal was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various callings, some of his favorite capacities being scouts, with the young men, and in the Bishopric, he was honored to serve with the youth.
Cal loved to travel and was excited to visit many different places, including Europe, Mediterranean, China and most recently India. He often bragged about the numerous amount of states he had been to, counting them even if all he did was place a foot in the area.
Cal had a great love for his family, they were his life and he would do anything for them. A loving and supporting father and grandfather, attending all he could of his children's and grandchildren's activities. He was everyone's favorite and will be dearly missed. Cal genuinely cared for people. He was a true example of Christlike love.
