Carma Laura Seeley Stockton, age 85, of Stansbury Park, Utah passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024. Carma was born in Mount Pleasant, Utah to Elverda Elizabeth Smith and Hyrum Carlton Seeley. In her youth, she grew up in a 2-bedroom farmhouse she loved dearly. Carma attended and graduated from North Sanpete High School. She later met her husband Theron (Bus) Raymond Stockton, they married on September 1st, 1973 in Elko Nevada. They then went on to be eternally sealed in the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-Day Saints on August 12, 2006.
Carma was a pioneer of home dialysis for her daughter, Susan. She held a position as an interior decorator and home health coordinator and was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in which she served as a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple for over a decade. Her favorite and most prioritized position was her role in her family, which she excelled at. Carma dedicated her life to helping others and always made sure everyone she met felt special and loved.
Carma is survived by her son David Mark Ruesch (Bonnie); her son Jim Ruesch (Connie); her son Joe Ruesch (Becky); her daughter Cami Gaillard (Stan);her daughter Lesa Chesebro; her daughter Rhonda (Harvey) Marshall;her son Tom Stockton; her sister Sandra Bigler.
Carma was preceded in death by her spouse Theron (Bus) Raymond Stockton; her daughter Susan Maples; her father Hyrum Carlton Seeley and her mother Elverda Elizabeth Smith; her brother Hal Seeley and her sister Kenna Nielsen; her grandson David Earl Ruesch.
A public viewing for Carma will be held Friday, March 15, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Valley View Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah 84120. A Final Viewing will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 PM with a funeral service following on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 1:15 PM to 2:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4113 W 6200 S, West Jordan, UT 84084.
The family would like to thank Lighthouse Daycare and Harmony Home Health for caring for her in her last days and encourages those attending to wear pink for Carma.
