It is with heavy hearts and monumental pride that our family will say our final farewells to our beloved Carol Geane Anderson.
Carol was born to two delightful parents, Fred W. Holmes and May Belle Osborne Holmes on the 20th of February in the year 1932, in Salt Lake City, Utah. After 89 amazing years of life she has moved on from this world on the 8th of March, 2021, and left behind her battle with Dementia.
One of the most notable events of her life’s story, she married the Love of her Life, Elmer Melvin Anderson on September 21, 1949. Elmer would precede her in death on March 16th, 2010. We know she was joyfully greeted by him and her parents, brothers and sister as well as her daughter (Nancy), grandsons (Matthew and Patrick, a great grandson (Christopher), and two great great grandkids (Sawyer and Jovi).
Carol was the Mother to four children: Pat Buckman, Nancy Barnhurst, Brian E Anderson (Tami), Lisa Langdon (Dave).
To her everlasting pride, her family would account for 12 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren in her lifetime.
For her career Carol managed the ZCMI Warehouse Cafeteria. She would often boast at being the proud recipient of the Brigham Young Award before her retirement. She was also proud to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Though these prideful facts would hardly be the limit to her stories she would tell. Carol would often reminisce of her family and loved to host a party for them, especially in the springtime, Easter being her favorite of all. Her home would be well decorated for every Holiday.
She would also often recant of her and Elmer’s lifelong friends Jimmy and Johnnye Jones, sharing many memories of the adventures and trips, to the cabin, Hawaii and many more, as well as countless Birthday parties.
Many in this world have counted themselves lucky to know Carol Geane Anderson, however to those closest she would be simply known as Nana.
Nana we lay to rest all but your memory and spirit you held in your family, friends and life. To that we can only follow the example of how you lived a great life. Cementing for all time your life’s work and family that would be your everlasting legacy.
The family would like to send many Thanks and much appreciation to the Heritage Place in Bountiful, and staff for taking great care of our Mom for the last 2 years, and also a special thanks to the Envision Hospice for helping her in her final times.
A viewing will be held Friday, March 12, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and a graveside services will be Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 2:00 pm, at the Valley View Memorial Park 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT.
We Love and miss you, Carol, Mom and Nana.
