Cathy Sieg Monthey, age 57, passed away September 15, 2012 in Ely Nevada. She was born October 28, 1954 in Bloomington, Illinois to Robert L. and Joyce Starkey Sieg. She attended Bloomington High School. She married Bobby Kent Monthey on February 20, 1986 in the Salt Lake Temple. Cathy loved to go rock hunting and camping. She enjoyed sewing and going to museums and on picnics. She also liked to go to the canyons to see the fall leaves and spend time with her sons.
Cathy is survived by her husband; sons; Michael Alan Monthey, Timothy Scott Monthey, and David Kent Monthey; her parents; siblings; Robert L. Sieg Jr., Roger S. Sieg and Leanne Slupian. She is preceded in death by two children; Jessica Lynn Monthey and Ryan Sieg.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Tooele 19th ward, 1030 S. 900 W., Tooele, UT. Viewings will be Friday, September 21st from 6-8 PM at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W. 4100 S., WVC, UT and 1 hour prior on Saturday at the church. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
