Christina DeCamp Smith

Christina is preceded in death by her Father Harland DeCamp, Mother Agnus DeCamp, Husband Johnny Deloy Smith, Son Travis Smith and Brother Mike DeCamp. She is survived by Sister Irene Polombi (Mike Polombi), Son Bert Smith (Sherron Smith), Son Richard Smith (Christina Smith), Daughter Valarie Wood (John Wood), 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and two more little ones on the way.

Christina was a caregiver to all and positively impacted many lives. She was incredibly sweet and loving but had the spirit of a warrior. Christina grew up on the East side of Salt Lake City where she lived with her loving parents until she married the love of her life, Johnny Smith, and had three incredible children. Christina wore many hats over the years, but she was especially proud of being a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a Nurse and a childcare provider. Everyone that knew Christina loved her for her personality, caring nature, spunky attitude and sarcastic jokes. She was always an active participant in her family’s activities. She rarely missed a baseball game; karate tournament or dance recital and she was always an important part of the family gatherings (her avocado dip will be missed). She enjoyed playing cards with the ladies, dressing up for Halloween and could not wait to see the little ones come to the door for candy. She also enjoyed fall drives, looking at Christmas lights and decorating with her many Santa Clause figures. Christina just simply loved being a part of her family and spending time with her loved ones. This strong, impactful, caring and adventurous soul will always be missed and forever be loved.

Services for Christina will take place on Saturday, June 22, at 11:00 AM at Valley View Funeral Home. A viewing will take place prior to the service from 9:30-10:45 AM.
