

“Hopper”
It is with broken hearts we share the passing of our Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle and Friend. Claude Franklin Scott, lovingly known as “Hopper,” has lost his year-long battle with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Born January 15, 1951 in Panguitch, UT to George and Barbara Scott. Claude served in the US Navy as an ordinance man during the Vietnam Conflict and had the opportunity to travel overseas as part of his service. On his return he went on as an operator with various contractors and worked with Tooele Army Depot and Dugway Proving Grounds and stayed active with the Navy reserves for several years. He was a great dad to Don, April, Mackenzie and Jennifer. A proud Grandpa to 10 beautiful grandkids. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his four children Don Sorensen, April Sorensen, Mackenzie Reynolds (Shane), and Jennifer Scott, his brother George (Irene) Scott, Eileen (Tom) Fox, Georgia “Sam” Scott, and Barbara Jo (Dale) Hitesman, along with several nieces and nephews and lifelong friends.
Services will be held at Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park Chapel 17111 South Camp Williams Road Bluffdale, Utah 84065 at 10:00AM with graveside services at 12:00PM. We ask all to come with great memories and stories to share, poems, prayers or just to share what Claude meant to you.
