On the evening of July 8th our beloved (little fire cracker) mother, grandmother, great-grandmother (GG), sister, and aunt left this world peacefully, at her home, with her family at her bedside. Connie endured many months of hospitalizations and surgeries due to complications associated with back surgery. Through it all she kept her chin held high and always had a smile on her face, even in her weakest moments. Connie was born on July 23, 1938 to Clark and Bernice Robinson in Hawthorne, Nevada. She graduated from Mineral County High School and married her sweetheart William (Buzz) Johnson on April 14, 1956 in Fallon, Nevada. Connie and Buzz later moved to the Salt Lake valley where they raised their family of six children. Connie was very active in the LDS Church and took on many callings. She worked selflessly and diligently at the conference center and enjoyed the many people she had the opportunity to interact with as she conducted tours. Connie had a magnetic personality and those who met her developed an instant love. Connie was very active and enjoyed golfing on a regular basis as she prepared for the annual “Buzz Johnson Memorial” golf tournament. Cards and horseshoes were also something she could not resist. If there was a game she was all for it, but never without money as a little enticement. Gambling was another one of her great skills!
She is survived by her six children; Eddie (Sandy) Johnson, Robbie (Debi) Johnson, Deanna (Craig) Fullmer, Cyndi (Ed) Feller, Traci (Mick) Buonocore, and Lonnie (Kenna) Johnson; 20 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; sister Marian Potter; several brother and sister in-laws; and many nieces and nephews. Connie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Eddie Robinson. The family would like to express thanks and gratitude to the great doctors and nurses at Intermountain Medical Center and also Hospice services.
