Obituary of David Heber Fackrell
West Valley, UT-David Heber Fackrell; loving husband, father and brother, passed away March 18th 2023. David was a long time resident of Pingree & Pocatello Idaho, but made his home in Salt Lake City for the past 37 years. David was born April 23, 1939 in Shelley, Idaho at the home of his grandparents. He was the only son of Heber Meeks Fackrell and Bessie J. Oler Fackrell. He was raised in Pingree, Idaho, and farmed near Tildon Bridge. He loved working with his hands and being a farmer. He was a member of the LDS Church. David married Patsy Ann Tolman on February 25, 1974 in Pocatello, Idaho. They had three wonderful sons; David Bancroft, Clinton James (Jamie E.) and William Read, all of Salt Lake City, Utah. David had three beautiful children from previous marriages; Troy Fackrell, Keli Atwood and Lori (Rob) Myers. David went to work driving trucks for Garrett Freight Lines in Pocatello in 1972. After Garretts went out of business in 1986, David moved his family to Salt Lake City, Utah, where he got a job driving trucks for Roadway Express. David retired in November of 2003. David enjoyed spending time with his family, whom he loved dearly. He enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling. David was a member of the Teamsters Union for over 40 years. After retiring, he served on the Board of Directors for the Teamsters Retirees Club, and in 2008, he was elected President. David is preceded in death by his parents: Heber and Bessie; his wife Patsy; his sisters: Joanne and Julet; and sons: Troy and William. He is survived by his sisters: Iris (Ken) and Deanna (Ron); daughters: Lori (Rob) and Keli; sons: David and Clint (Jamie); grandchildren: David Dwayne, Aspen Marie, Kelly Dawn and Alayna Nichol; and his beloved dog Bella. Viewing services will be held Tuesday, March 28th, from 6-8pm at Valley View Funeral Home: 4335 W 4100 S, WVC, Utah. David will be buried the following day at Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello, Idaho next to his beloved wife Patsy and son William.
