Demois Mark Thomas

Demois Mark Thomas, 66 years old, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021 in West Valley City, Utah. He was born October 8, 1954 in Marion, Indiana to Demois May Thomas and Betty Ann Ford. He later met and married Celerina Millan on April 8, 1981.

Mark was a gentle giant. He love his wife, his kids, his family and friends. He especially loved his grand-babies and fur-babies. He loved being outdoors doing anything from tinkering in his garage to fishing, hunting and especially golfing. He loved going to the movies; he loved to travel, an adventurer at heart.

He loved his music. He loved his cars and he loved talking to his grandson about cars. His children will be forever grateful for what he taught them. “Work for what you want, earn what you get.” He was funny and competitive. He was generous and very giving. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Anyone who knew Mark loved him.

His is survived by his loving wife, Celerina M. Thomas; son, Rocky Arcardio Thomas; daughters, Carmen Marie Fitzgerald and Kelly Ilene Thomas; siblings: Bill Eskridge, Janie Barber, Susan Milliner, Dwight Eskridge and Greg Eskridge and 8 grandchildren. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Demois May Thomas and Betty Ann Ford and sister, Mona Thomas.

A viewing will be on Thursday, July 8th from 6:00-8:00 pm and again one hour prior to the services at Valley View Funeral Home, 4100 S. 4335 W., West Valley City, Utah. In honor of Mark’s life, funeral services will be Friday, July 9, 2021, 11:00 am at Valley View Funeral Home. Interment to follow services at Valley View Memorial Park.
