DJ was born July 13, 1985, to Sally Atkinson and Dennis K. Druce in Murray, Utah.
When the Credits Roll…
DJ was a jack of all trades. He worked with Midgley Construction for 15 years. The man could move the earth. The man could direct water, to irrigate his home property. He never hesitated to climb into the clouds to reroof the family’s houses.
His mechanical skills came in handy as he worked to rebuild an engine, always with a Monster drink nearby. He has restored his beautiful 2002 Trans Am car, that he loved. If he didn’t know how to build, rebuild, or fix something, he would search until he found the answers.
Dj did enjoy his play time, adventures like rodeoing with Grandpa, camping with Kristin and the girls, snowboarding in the mountains, riding ATVS at the sand dunes, getting “lucky” in Wendover and spending time at the lake fishing with Kristin’s family.
More than his talent with equipment and tools, he will be remembered for his generous spirit. He used his many skills to serve others. Dj was there to help his grandparents, so they were able to stay in their own home until their deaths. He would happily and protectively keep “the girls” cars running and safe to drive. He took the time to help anyone with a problem, offering his knowledge and experience.
Dj is survived by his soulmate of 8 years, Kristin Traveller. His mom Sally Druce, his dad Dennis K Druce, and “his girls” Reagan and Jade Horowitz, Jayleigh Raddatz, and a grandniece Maddy who will forever miss his warmth and ability to fix absolutely anything except their broken hearts. He was so loved by his family, and they will forever be hoping that we see Dj pull-up in his car and walk through the door.
DJ is preceded in death by his sister Desiree, Grandparents, Harvey and Louise Atkinson. Uncle John, who he was named after. And special cousins Amy and Hunter.
A visitation for DJ Druce will be held at Valley View Mortuary, Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A service will be held the following day, Monday, October 12, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to your favorite charity or to plant a tree in.
