Dennis Ray King

1942 ~ 2011

Our ever playful and loving husband, father and grandpa, Dennis R. King, age 69, returned home into the care of his Father in Heaven on October 15, 2011. Dennis was born June 28, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Bud Ray King and Phyllis Jones King.

He had great love for all of his family and friends, and always included them as family. He attended West High School Class of 1960. He married Betty Jean DeForest on October 24, 1963 in Magna, Utah. He honorably served 6 years in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the L.D.S. faith. His wife, Betty Jean served faithfully by his side since 1963. He had two children: a son, Wayne Ray (Crystal) King, and a daughter, Cyndy Lee (Mark) Holman. He enjoyed spending time with his family of 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved being a prankster and telling jokes! As we say goodbye, we want you to know we LOVE YOU MUCH!!!

Graveside Services for Dennis will be held Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. The family will receive friends at a visitation prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South.
