Doreen Caroline Ortiz , 78, passed away on January 26, 2020 in Taylorsville, UT. She was born on July 29, 1941 in San Francisco, California to Richard Leslie Church & Alfreda Ened Hortnagel. Doreen attended and graduated from high school and business school. She would later meet and marry Louie Ortiz on December 10, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Doreen was a sincere Pentecostal member, she loved to read, do crossword puzzles, and go to car shows. She loved people, she truly loved everyone, and she was a genuine person. She was loved and respected by everyone that knew her.
Doreen is survived by her husband Louie, children; Ken, Kathie, Ray, Yvette, Mechelle, Troy, and Shawn, siblings; Tom, Willie, and Rhonda, eighteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughters, and a sister.
Funeral Services will be held February 1, 2020 at 11:00am at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W. 4100 S. West Valley City. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Condolences can be sent to valleyviewfh.com
