

Emaloni graduated from Taylorsville High School in 2021. Right after graduation, Loni enlisted with the Marines. He unfortunately got sick and was discharged honorably.
Loni became a father on January 11, 2022, to a son.
He worked at the airport for ATS before becoming a cadet with the Salt Lake County Sherriff’s Academy, later graduating and being sworn in as a deputy on January 11, 2024.
Emaloni passed away on January 29, 2024, in Tooele County, Utah.
Emaloni was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Emaloni or Loni as he is better known by family and friends was one of the kindest people. He liked to play soccer and basketball, even though he wasn’t very good at playing basketball. He wanted to try everything from sports to outdoor activities at least once and as long as he was around good people. Before his passing he developed a love for baking and being in the kitchen. Above everything he loved being a father and spending quality time with his son.
Loni leaves behind a very large family who love him very much and his absence is felt deeply.
Loni is survived by his Mother Maopa Puanani Tonga and his Father Melekiseteki Lutui and five siblings and his son. Viliami K. Fihaki (brother), Litia Nataliana Fihaki (sister), Hinalei ‘Otuanga’ofa Fihaki (sister), Akanesi T.A. Lutui (sister), M. Elijah Lutui Jr., and V. Lutui (Son)
He is preceded in death by two uncles who passed away at young ages.
Services will be held on February 10, 2024, at an LDS Chapel from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. The address is 12154 S. 3600 W. Riverton, UT 84065.
Viewing and services will be from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. The bishop’s program will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
The internment will be at Valley View Memorial Park at 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley, Utah 84120.
