He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Jackie (Sylvia) Rasmussen, sisters; Judy, Gale, Lori; four children, Wendy Janverson (Hamid), Stacy Drew, Joe Trujillo (Terri), Tamara Davis (Lawrence); 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
George was born on June 13, 1946, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alice Myers Rasmussen and Raymond Rasmussen. He graduated from West High school in 1965. He then enlisted into the United States Marine Corps on January 6, 1966, where he served our country in the Vietnam War. After serving his time he met his first wife Cheryl, she then later passed on. After living life and causing trouble as he loved to do, he later crossed paths with Jackie. On August 17, 1990, they tied the knot in West Valley. They stuck through their wedding vows through thick and thin, twice, until the very end. On February 27, 2018, he was baptized into the Catholic Church.
George’s carefree and loving personality touched the hearts from young to old. He was never afraid to share a good joke or make you laugh. He gave nick names to all those he loved. He taught many life lessons and shared many stories to all, that will live on by those around. George is always going to be the life of the party and the biggest Yankees fan there is.
He will proceed in death by his parents Alice and Raymond Rasmussen and his son Frank Rasmussen.
