Glenn passed away in the hospital from bladder cancer and heart complications on August 11, 2026. He was born on May 7, 1947 in Murray, Utah, to Carl H. and Annie Neilson Smith.
He graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1966, and married Georgia Teasdale on January 7, 1974.
He was employed at Draper and Sons Lumber Mill, and he also worked at the Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center.
He has survived by his wife, Georgia; two sons, Ray and Richard; grandsons, Thomas and Nicholas; sisters, Coral and Dolores; brother, Cecil Smith (Carol); nieces and nephews, Carla, Susan, Scott, Craig, Kevan, Keith, Bonnie, Josephine, and Mary Lou.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Annie; sister, Lois; brother, Leslie.
A viewing will be held at Valley View Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT 84120, on August 18, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held at Valley View Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT 84120, on August 19, 2026, at 11:00 am.
A committal service will be held at Valley View Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT 84120, on August 19, 2026, following funeral services.
