Greg is survived by his mother, Judy Allen of Ogden, Utah; his father, Mark (Stephanie) Allen of Magna, Utah; his son, Jameson Allen; his brothers, Michael Rasmussen and Nick (Laura) Rasmussen of Cottonwood Heights, Utah; his nephew, Chase (Easton) Zuspan of Ogden, Utah; and his niece, Alyssa Ludwig of Murray, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mabel Graham Eardley, Kenneth “Bud” Allen, Lucy Smith, and Kenneth Gunn; as well as his aunt Karen and uncle Denny.
Family was incredibly important to Greg, but his family extended far beyond those related to him by blood. Greg had many friends whom he considered family, and he cherished those friendships deeply. If Greg cared about you, you knew it. He was the kind of person who was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need and never expected anything in return.
Greg loved music, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, and just about anything that gave him an excuse to be outdoors. He enjoyed the simple things in life and, most of all, the people and companions he shared them with.
Among Greg’s closest companions was his beloved dog, Dually. The two shared a very special bond and were nearly inseparable. Dually wasn’t simply Greg’s dog—he was his constant companion and a treasured part of Greg’s life.
Greg will be remembered for his generous heart, his willingness to help others, the friendships he treasured, and the love he had for those closest to him. His absence will be deeply felt by everyone fortunate enough to have known and loved him.
Though his time with us was far too short, the memories, stories, laughter, and love Greg leaves behind will continue to live on through the many people whose lives he touched.
A visitation will be held at Valley View Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT 84120, US, on August 16, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
