Irene Hoenshell"Our Loving Mom & Grandma"Irene Frances Rabe Hoenshell, 92, died March 27, 2014 in West Jordan, Utah.Born December 6, 1921 in Ottawa, Illinois, daughter of Frank Charles and Laura Belle DeBolt Rabe. Married Robert Curtis Hoenshell September 6, 1947; later solemnized in the Oakland, CA Temple; he preceded her in death. Married Jerry Blanke August 28, 1990; later divorced but remained close friends. Employed with Abbott Laboratories and later worked as a Senior Companion for Salt Lake County Aging Services.Survived by children: Donald (Anneliese) Hoenshell, David Hoenshell, Barbara (Ron) Carter and Kevin (Kathy) Hoenshell; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister Hazel Crouch. Preceded in death by parents; sister Vera Hettel; brother Dale Rabe; son-in-law Marty Wiker.Funeral services will be held Monday, March 31, 2014, 1:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where viewings will be held Sunday, March 30, 2014, 6-8 p.m. and Monday, 12-12:45 p.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
