Jack W Jensen, our beloved father, papa, brother, uncle, friend, and inspiration, lost his heroic battle with cancer on March 6, 2023. Jack was born and raised in Carbon County and attended East Carbon High. He moved to Salt Lake City in his early twenties, where he graduated from a trade school. Jack spent most of his life working as a mechanic and built a successful business that he owned for almost 30 years. During that time, he met many people and made lifelong friendships.
Jack loved spending time with his daughter and her family. His daughter and granddaughter Taila were his pride and joy. He was at every event and always lit up when he talked about them. Jack loved riding his Harley, working on his cars and in his yard, going to Utah Utes football games, and going on RZR rides. Jack was well known for his humor and knew he was the funniest man in the room. Jack will leave behind a legacy as one of the greats. He worked hard, did good by others, and always was kind to everyone he met.
Jack is survived by his daughter Jazena Jensen-Carlson (Cody Carlson), his granddaughters Taila Robinson and Taylor Carlson, sister Jolene Perry, and nephews Troy Perry (Jamie Perry) and Jody Perry (Shenagh Perry). Great Niece Meghan Memmott (Landon Memmott), great nephews Cody Perry (Emily Perry) and Austin Perry (godson), and his great-great niece and nephew Caroline and Stetson. And most importantly, his dog Spike.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Jack C Jensen and Jo Jensen, his brother Chris Jensen, brother-in-law Dean Perry and other honorary family members and friends.
Services will be held at Valley View Funeral Home in West Valley City, UT, on March 17, 2023. A Celebration of Life/Viewing will be held from 12:00pm-approximately 2:45 pm; interment at Valley View Memorial Park immediately following the service.
