

Jack grew up in Brigham City and graduated from Box Elder High School. On his eighteenth birthday, he was drafted into the Army during World War II. His mission was to be dropped into Tokyo, with 4,000 other paratroopers. The Atomic Bombs saved their lives and ended the war! Later, he was enlisted in the Korean War.
Jackson, as he was called, was converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during his teenage years and ordained an Elder after he was drafted.
Jack was married to Marie Smith on 25 June 1946. They had eight children: Bryan (Died the day he was born), Roger Jackson (Debbie York) 7 children & 9 Grandchildren; Daniel Lee
(Sandra Callejas) 2 & 0; Riley James ( Rachel Thompson) 3 & 2; Jenny ( Randy Lloyd Cote) 4 & 2; Nathan George, deceased, (Annette Aebisher) 2 & 0 , John Edward (Eileen Anderson)
2 & 1; Andrew William, deceased, (Michelle Dill) 1 & 0.
February 14, 1970, he married Chelnisha Shomaker Perkins. Later, he adopted four of her five children: Kyle Raymond Perkins (Gwendolyn Chubbs) 2 children & 4 grandchildren; DarNell, 1 & 3; Annette Louise (Carey Barney) 4 & 7; Janet (Douglas Evans); 3& 5; and Keith Ralph (Jolene Berger) 7 & 6.
Jack was a carpenter and had a general contractor licenses in both Utah and Nevada. He built his first home when he was nineteen years old. He also built our home in Henderson, Nevada.
Jack, was a dedicated Scout Master for 27 years. He helped numerous Scouts obtain the rank of Eagle.
He lived a long life filled with hard work, family and friends. He outlived his siblings with the longest life span. Jack died peacefully during the morning hours on October 22, 2014.
