October 17, 1928 ~ November 8, 2015
James Walter Holtz passed away peacefully November 18, 2015. He was born on October 17, 1928, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Walter Holtz and Daisy Morris Holtz. Jim married Darleen Ball on March 26, 1949. They are the parents of five children.
Jim worked for Union Pacific Rail Road for 42 years.
He is survived by his children, Steve (Becky), Kim (Peggy), Cindy Kirby (Forrest), and Shane, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife Darlene; son, Scott; parents and brother Michael.
The family would like to thank his hospice nurse, Susanne and a very special thanks to Steve and Becky Holtz who took care of him the last year of his life.
A viewing will be held Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City. A graveside service will be held Monday, November 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City.
