Jami was born June 2, 1977 in American fork, Utah to Ruby Alenazi and Tony Gilbert. She entered this world with a severe birth defect called Arthogriposis. Despite her disability, she displayed her incredible intelligence. She learned how to use her feet for everything. Although she was harassed at school, Jami persevered and in doing so, she challenged the world and taught others how to enjoy life.
Jami loved Christmas movies, especially “It’s A Wonderful Life.” She had many skills, including her ability to hula-hoop with fire around her waist as she stood on one leg. She entered talent contests with her many abilities and strengths. Jami learned how to appreciate life in her own way. Jami loved fresh flowers every week.
Jami has become God’s angel. She is a beautiful flower that Heavenly Father chose to come home to be made whole, leaving her pain behind on August 4, 2021. Jami is now safe in the arms of her dad and brother.
We all miss her so much that our hearts are empty.
