Jane Elizabeth Southwick Hopkins, passed away Aug 24, 2020 in West Jordan, Utah. She was born May 23, 1946 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Frank and Wilma Southwick. She attended Buhl High School in Buhl, Idaho. She was a certified Radiologic Technologist.
She married Keith G. Hopkins on May 10, 1975 at her parents’ home in Buhl, Idaho. Jane is a beautiful, dedicated, loving, strong talented woman. She had an artistic soul and loved to create. She was a woodworker, painter and worked with ceramics. A loving mother to five children.
She is finally free from the vicious grip of dementia. She is now in the loving hands of Jesus and the loving embrace of her darling husband.
Jane is survived by her children; Tom (Melissa), Kelly (Nancy), Marnie (Perry), and Greg. Her mother Wilma Southwick, brother Jack Southwick and sister Susan Capps and many wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jane was preceded in death by; her husband Keith G. Hopkins, son Keith T. Hopkins, father Frank Southwick, brother Bill Southwick, brother David Southwick, and sister Sally Vincent.
To honor her life, a viewing will be held Friday, Aug 28, 2020 from 6 to 8pm at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Aug 29, 2020, 3pm at Valley View Memorial Park. Due to current circumstances there will be no seating at the service and we ask that mask are worn.
We greatly appreciated the care team from Silverado Hospice. They took care of our mother like she was their own, and became a part of our family. Their consideration and kindness will never be forgotten.
