He was born June 22, 1995 to Michael Lee Johannsen and Cynthia Camille (Ulibarri) Johannsen.
For all who knew Jermiah, our world is profoundly and forever changed. Jermiah was a beautiful bright light in a sea of darkness.
His love was pure and straight from the soul. Jermiah’s heart always had room for everyone and everything. Never judgment, just love and support. Jermiah showed us what real love is.
This young man suffered and sustained profound loss starting at the tender age of thirteen. Tragic, unforgiving loss. But he was a trooper and he fought hard for his life for many years. He lost the battle but it was a valiant effort.
He is the very best humanity has to offer. Jermiah was imperfect and flawed but if he knew you he loved you and made sure you knew it. He was kind and generous. Fair and giving. Loving and affectionate.
He fought so hard but he was lost and searching for a place, somewhere he belonged. That search for him started when he was just thirteen years old with the tragic passing of his father and two years later his mother. Then his paternal grandmother and his brother passed. And finally, his paternal grandpa sold his childhood home and moved out-of-state.
All during, and while he was still a teenager, all his immediate family was gone. He felt so alone. How does one experience such loss so young and make it through the wilderness? Is it possible. He tried.
Jerry was a truly talented lyricist and rapper. His rhymes were brutal and heartbreaking to hear but also beautiful and so worth it. It was a creative outlet to express his thoughts, feelings, and emotions and he did it well. Music sustained his soul his spirit.
This is a tremendous loss. Jermiah was so easy to love. He will be missed and thought of often. Jermiah was kind and generous with his heart. Always first to offer comfort during tough times and made sure everyone around him was okay. Generosity of spirit was just in his DNA. We will celebrate his wonderful soul and treasure our memories with him.
Jermiah had many, many friends and extended family. He loved you all and cherished every moment spent with you.
Jermiah is survived by his sister Haley Brooke Klinger (Jessie), grandmother Rosa Ulibarri Williams, aunt Sabrina Carmel Ulibarri, uncles Kelly Joe Ulibarri and Joshua Estevan Ulibarri (Stormie). He was preceded in death by his father, mother, paternal grandmother Beverly Johannsen, maternal grandfather Joe T. Ulibarri, Jr., uncle Rodney Cameron Ulibarri (Beverly) and brother Thomas Nelson.
There will be a memorial service Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 6:30 pm at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 W 4100 S, West Valley City, UT 84120.
