1937~2010
Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Jerry S. Christensen, 72, passed away on February 24, 2010 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on May 22, 1937 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Marion Wilbur and Wanda Hancey Christensen. Jerry moved to Utah when he was 2 years old and grew up in the Garfield and Magna areas. He later moved to Las Vegas where he met and married his sweetheart, Karen. After 20 years in Las Vegas they moved back to Utah.
Jerry was in the US Army and served in the Korean War. He loved sports, going to Wendover and teasing his sisters. He was loved by everyone that met him. Jerry was the Winder Dairy Santa and loved all children.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; children, Kemi, Kallyn, Matthew, Mandy and Jarrett; 13 grandchildren; 2 sisters, 1 brother; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, son, Richard, his 1st wife, Cheri, nephew and niece.
Memorial service for Jerry will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 3:00 pm at the Valley View Mortuary Chapel, 4335 West 4100 South where friends may visit with the family from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm prior to the service.
