Jerry Thomas Ryan

1933 ~ 2011

Jerry Thomas Ryan, 77, was born July 29, 1933, in Anson, Texas, to parents Marie Hinkle and Jimmie T. Ryan. He attended Anson High School, and later moved to Utah where he met and married Laretta (Rita) Bowden. Jerry was a man who loved life and everything in it. Nothing made him happier than having breakfast with his daughter, Jennifer Ryan-Russell; two granddaughters, Amanda Ryan-O’Connor and Jenna Russell, and grandson in-law, Mark O’Connor on a Saturday morning. He was always a joker and loved to push people's buttons, he loved to sing and laugh and see the funny side of life; taking his granddaughters to feed the ducks on a warm afternoon was a favorite pastime of his. He always called several times a day, sometimes just as a reminder he loved us. He passed away on March 1, 2011, in West Valley City. He was very, very, very loved and will be sorely missed.

Funeral Services for Jerry will be held Friday, March 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South. The family will receive friends at a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
