Jessica Olivia Mireles, 24, beloved daughter, mother, sister and friend, passed away on March 8, 2024 at the age of 24. Born on May 19, 1999 in Salt Lake City, Utah to JoAnn Myrleen Mireles and Gilberto Mireles Serrano and raised in West Valley City, Utah. She graduated from Horizonte.
Jessica’s life was a testament to her unwavering love for family, her vibrant spirit, and her zest for new experiences. Raised Catholic, Jessica found solace in her faith and had a deep admiration for the Virgin Mary. She had a passion for music that resonated deeply within her, and she cherished moments spent with loved ones, especially on car rides where she could sing along to her favorite tunes. Jessica was a creative soul who found joy in drawing, designing, and adorning her body with tattoos, each one telling a unique story. Her appreciation for capturing memories through photography and collecting memorable items reflected her sentimental nature and her love for nostalgia. An avid fan of the Raiders, Jessica’s enthusiasm for sports mirrored her fierce loyalty to those she cared about. She had an adventurous palate and relished in the heat of spicy food, always eager to try new culinary delights. Her sense of style was impeccable, and she embraced fashion as a form of self-expression. Jessica approached life with an open heart and a willingness to embrace change, always seeking out new adventures, whether it was riding roller coasters or exploring unfamiliar territories.
Above all, Jessica’s greatest joy in life was her daughter, whom she loved unconditionally and devoted herself to wholeheartedly. She found fulfillment in being there for others, offering support, kindness, and compassion whenever needed.
Jessica’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love, kindness, and adventurous spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace, forever remembered and cherished.
Jessica is survived by her parents, JoAnn Myrleen Mireles and Gilberto Mireles-Serrano; daughter, Jazmine Matelita Mireles Fernandez and her father, Julios Joshua Fernandez; siblings, Vanessa Maria Mireles, Thomas Manual Ruiz, Anakaren Gomez, Evelin Gomez, Ciara Alejandra Mireles; grandparents, Olivia Serrano Perez, Guillermo Mireles of Los Angeles and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Cesar Madrigal Rios and Antonio Mireles; sister-in-law, Lizabeth Rodriguez and grandfather, Scott Black.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 5-8pm at the Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South in West Valley City, Utah.
