

Josie T. Sanchez (03/19/23 - 03/03/24) passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was born in Cebolla, New Mexico to José and Teresita. She grew up on her parents’ ranch along with her brothers and sisters. She married Quentin Sanchez at the end of WWII. She had five children. She moved to Utah in 1955. While raising her children, she went back to school and received a degree in Sociology while also being a single mother. She was employed by Salt Lake County Mental Health until she retired. She enjoyed planting flowers, working in her yard, political events and time spent with a close friend, Joe. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a great cook. Her son, Richard, stayed with her in the latter part of her years. We would like to thank Sofia for assisting with her final care.
She was preceded in death by her parents (José and Teresita), her siblings (Desidero, Christina, Jeannie, Ernesto, Isabel), her husband (Quentin R.); and son (Joseph). She is survived by her children (Richard, Tresa, Debra and Quentin Jr.), grandchildren (Alan and Brandi), and great-grandchildren (Aston, Ethan, KC, Riggin and Keagan).
There will be private ceremony on March 12 for Family and Friends at 11:00 a.m.
