Kenna C Madsen

Kenna Caplinger Madsen passed away on November 24, 2022, at her home in Kearns, Utah. Kenna was born on July 8, 1950, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Warren Augustus and Dorothy Helen Miller Caplinger. She was the third child of four.

Kenna described her childhood as "the best" with wonderful loving parents and every opportunity they could afford her. Her childhood was a place where she learned to be happy, and where she learned to love God.

Kenna was Sealed to her best friend, David B. Madsen on April 18, 1969, in the Salt Lake Temple. They had five wonderful children: Cindy Christine, Wendy Susanne, Kari Rebecca and her husband Joseph, Johnathan Mckay and Mark David. She had four wonderful grandchildren: Eddie, Mishea, Jade and Noah. Kenna and David have been married for fifty-three and a half years and have been greatly blessed and been given many tender mercies.

Kenna was a talented woman she loved to sew, quilt, embroider, make Ukrainian eggs and could make a sock into just about anything. Kenna just loved to be creative. She used her talents to bless the lives of others. Many babies and families benefited from her talents.

Kenna had a very strong testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ and strived to follow his example. Kenna was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in many capacities in the Primary, Sunday school and Relief Society in the ward and stake. She was a strong support to her husband as he served in his many callings, which kept him away from home for long periods of time.

Preceded in death by her parents and three of her children: Mark David Madsen, Johnathan Mckay Madsen and Cindy Christine Madsen. Joyous will be their reunion!

Services will be held at 1:30PM on Monday November 28, 2022, at the Kearns 21st Ward chapel 5720 South 4270 West Kearns, Utah 84118 with visitation from 12-1:15PM.

A viewing will be held Sunday November 27, 2022, from 5-7PM at the same address.
