Kenneth Roland Boehm, age 86, passed away on May 29, 2020 in Magna, Utah. He was born May 11, 1934 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Edward C. Boehm and Helen Boehm. He attended and graduated from Murray High School. After graduation he went into the United States Navy where he served for 4 years and loved his time serving in the military.
Once he finished his service in the military, Kenneth became a Salt Lake City police officer for some time. He left the police force to become a bus driver for Salt Lake City due to higher pay. After his employment with Salt Lake City, Kenneth spent the next 42 years working for Kennecott Copper as a Millwright. He retired from Kennecott Copper.
Kenneth loved to watch football, boxing and movies. His favorite movie was Shane. He genuinely loved all people. He made it his job to make people laugh. He was very easy going and willing to try anything. He survived spousal abuse, 2 open heart surgeries and at the end multiple strokes. He was a wonderful Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa.
He is survived by his loving son, William (Shelley) Boehm; brother, Edward Boehm; granddaughter, Sheela (Travis) Blackburn and great grandchildren, Aurora and Vivian Blackburn; relative, Ruby Eldredge. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kimm Boehm; brothers, Harry and Donald Boehm.
To honor his life a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 20, 2020 starting 11:00 am at 3641 South 8000 West, Magna, Utah.
