Kenneth Leon Trone 5/25/1932 ~ 7/29/2010 With breaking hearts, we say goodbye to our beloved husband, dad, grandpa, uncle, and friend. You left us too soon, but we are grateful that, despite your failing memory, you still knew who we were and kept us laughing to the end. We will miss you, especially your sweetheart Colleen, who has shared a wonderful life with you for 29 years. You were the last of 14 children born into the blended family of Guy Raymond and Mabel Hochstrasser Trone, and the last to leave this earth. What a wonderful reunion you're having with them now. In your hometown of Coalville, Utah, you made life-long friends as you attended North Summit High and went to church in the old Coalville LDS Tabernacle. You enjoyed a close relationship with your extended family - everyone loved Uncle Ken. Your grandchildren cherish the fun times they had with you at Grandma and Grandpa Camp each summer. And your children are grateful for the blessing of spending so much time with you in recent years. You served faithfully in the Air Force as a young man and were a loyal employee at Tooele Army Depot for 32 years. Throughout your life, you used your carpentry skills to make your home and the homes of others more useful and beautiful. You relished your retirement years by relaxing in St. George and taking fun-filled trips with family and friends. Among those grieving your loss are your dear wife, Colleen Wall Lancaster Trone; daughters Konnie Trone, Evelyn (Karl) Sealander, Lynda (Troy) Peterson; stepsons Dave Lancaster, Lane Lancaster, Stuart (Rebecca) Lancaster; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Among those welcoming you home is your recently departed son, Gary. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 7, 2010, at 12:00 noon at the Highbury LDS Ward, 3372 South Merry Lane (5275 W.), West Valley City. A viewing will be held Friday, August 6, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W. 4100 S., and Saturday from 10:30-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
