Kimberly was born out of love and was such a blessing in our lives. Kimberly was born one year after her sister Kira. The two K’s were inseparable. Kim always looked up to Kira and Kira was always her protector. Kim loved her family time. She rode bikes with Kira, volleyball with her mom, and basketball with her dad. Most of all she loved when the family came together at Liberty Park and the Rez which were her two favorite places.
She loved music. Later in life her brothers , the two M’s, were born Mikey and Matthew. This would give Kim the role of being the big sister and no longer the baby. She took her role very seriously. She liked to walk them to the Arctic Circle for the kiddie cones, put Halloween make up on their faces and make them play GI Joe’s next to her during Barbie time occasionally (lol). Kim became a model at just 10 years old for McCartys Modeling Agency were her smile caught the eye of the world! She continued to model until she was 19. While she modeled, she attended school at Granite High School, collected her diploma and became an amazing violinist and pianist. If that wasn’t enough, which it wasn’t, Kim was a gifted athlete appearing often in Rec basketball leagues and earning a spot on the Granite swim team. Kim was never tired. She enjoyed everything about life and was blessed to have energy to complete so much.
After school Kim assisted Kira in giving birth to her niece Imani. At that time Kim saw life so precious and wanted to see so much more of it. She ended up meeting the love of her life Bob, The two couldn’t stop talking about the different places she had been. She loved Bob and his children Matthew and Sarah and loved her dogs most of all Lucky, Lady, Graperoo (Abbey), King. She also deeply cared for her family, making sure she put every Easter tradition aside to be together in AZ every year. She loved reminiscing about old stories mom and dad and how silly we were as kids. Kim’s laugh could be heard miles away. Her smile will never be forgotten. Kim took pride in her name. She always told you her whole name “Kimberly Mae Franklin.”
