Kimberly Rushton Prokopis

1963-2013

Kimberly Rushton Prokopis passed away July 26, 2013. Kim was born February 19, 1963 to Gary and Carol Rushton.

Kim married Tedd Prokopis and later divorced, but together had 3 boys whom she dearly loved; Dallas, Billy and Teddy.

Kim had a tender heart and a love for animals. She lost two sons in separate, tragic accidents; Billy in 1997, and Dallas recently in 2011. She has since lived life with a broken heart. Kim had a great love for her mother who was diagnosed with a severe case of multiple sclerosis when Kim was a young girl. Kim lovingly took care of her in the beginning, but missed out on having the influence of her mother during the tender and impressionable years of her life. Kim was always very close to her brother, Kip.

Kim is survived by her son: Teddy Prokopis, Magna; father: Gary Rushton, Tooele; sister: Laurie (Craig) Porter, Richfield; brothers: Kip and Ricky Rushton, Tooele; half-brothers: Kolton Brewer, Cheyenne, and Brody Rushton, West Jordan; daughter-in-law: Jennifer Duncan Prokopis, West Valley; and four grandchildren: Kandice, Billy, Dallas, and Houston. She is preceded in death by her sons: Dallas and Billy Prokopis; mother: Carol Jacobson Rushton; grandparents: Laurence and Elva Rushton and Milan (Bud) and Darlene Jacobson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at 12:00 noon at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South in West Valley. A viewing will be one hour prior. Although Kim endured many struggles and hardships throughout her life, we find comfort in knowing she can find peace and happiness and be with her loved ones forever. Kim would want to thank those who have helped her throughout her life, including her son, Teddy; dad, Gary; brother, Kip; Grandma Elva and many others. We Love You, Kim.
