KC was born on February 8th, 1937 to Carson and Emma Vineyard in Walton, West Virginia.
He spent his childhood playing with his siblings and attending school in West Virginia. The family moved to Ohio and then on to Idaho Falls, where he graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1954.
After graduating, he joined the Union Pacific Railroad where he had a wonderful career of 44 ½ years. While working on the railroad, he met many great people and had wonderful experiences. He was a great worker and very dedicated to his responsibilities as he raised and supported his loving family.
KC met the love of his life, Beverly Ann Morgan, on a blind date, which turned into a loving marriage that lasted for 65 years. They were married on December 21st, 1957 in Sutherland, UT. They raised a beautiful family of four children, including two sons, and Daddy’s girls in Granger, UT. KC was a loving and devoted husband, daddy, and grandpa. He loved everyone unconditionally. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
In 1999, KC retired from the Union Pacific Railroad. In his retirement, he spent more quality time with his family while teaching and caring for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He taught us all how to work hard, garden, and the importance of family. KC loved working with his hands, either in the garden or his woodshop. He turned a piece of wood into a beautiful and treasured work of art. He also loved working with leather and made belts for all of his grandchildren.
KC is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; two sons, Kit (Leisa), Ken (Coral), twin daughters Sharon (Neil) and Karon (Brad), 19 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, brothers Noel, Bill, Greg and Mark. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Bernice Flint, and brothers James, Larry, David and Matt.
We would like to issue a special thank you to the staff at Spring Gardens and Quality Home Health Hospice Care for their love and service to our sweet Daddy.
