To Spence, Shelley, Ron, Jim and the rest of the family;
  The service was lovely and was glad I got to see you all and others.  It has been a long time.   I am truly sorry for your loss of your  wife, mother, grandmother and all that she was to those around her.   May you all find comfort and peace during this most difficult time.   LaRae was a treasure and a blessing.    The neighborhood lost another gem.   May you rest in peace LaRae.   The Kirkman's cherished your friendship for all of these years . After attending LaRae's funeral service today and listened to  her sweet niece Nikki's loving  memories I need to share my favorite memory. The day LaRae was 9 years old she was given the best birthday present she could ever imagine! She had a new baby sister that belonged to her and she doted over her like a little mother hen. When Linda was old enough to talk she called her big Sis "Honey dear" and did so for as long as I could remember. I called her that until I was a teenager because Linda (Picky) my nickname for her, did. We grew up in Bacchus and after LaRae married her  soulmate, Spence and began raising her wonderful family, I stayed close to Picky. We lived one street apart in Magna and were cousins and best friends until Picky passed away  over 25 years ago after raising her beautiful children.
   I imagine a joyous reunion for Coonie and Ruby  to be with their two beautiful daughters and Picky's husband Ray in God's light. Rest in peace with your loved ones, "Honey Dear."

So many memories to share I loved Larae so very much. Her actions were pure love. Every time I would call or visit my mom (Beverle Larson) she would be talking with her best friend Larae and going shopping or out to lunch. Every Wednesday was their lunch day.. Larae always took mom because mom didn't drive. I never worried to much about mom because of Larae. Actions speak louder then words and I know they are together drinking coffee ☕and laughing in Heaven now. I love your family and wish you all peace and comfort. Spence I know she loves you and thank you for always letting us in. Shelly I am so thankful you reached out to me.  If you need anything please don't hesitate to call. 

My Deasest Sweet Larae,  you were my Mom's very best friend.  She and I loved you so, so much!! Thank you for all the amazing memories you made with our family. Holidays were so special with you in them. Thanks for taking such great care of my Mom. Grocery Shopping and lunches. But best of all Holidays!! Love you always and forever ❤ 

Aunt LaRae was always excited to see all of us at their home for Easter.  We had many wonderful years there and our kids always looked forward to the Egg Hunt and Pinata.  For every holiday she had a musical animated figurine that our kids loved to press and watch dance.  I think of her every time I see one of those.

Every time i go to Utah we always visited her (ant Da'Rae, as Kevin called her)and spence . I always made her banana bread and bring her some Thai food to try 
She is so sweet and caring 
I didnt have grandmom so i do love her like my own grandma. 
She will be always in our heart ❤

We met Spence and LaRae more than twenty years ago when they bowled with my folks on the Guys and Gals league at Delton Lanes.  They become good friends.
Through them, we met their son Ron and his wife Joanne and their granddaughter Tami who we have remained good friends with for the duration.  
LaRae  was a great friend and she will be greatly missed.  RIP 

LaRae and I were proud to be cousins and descendants of James David and Alida Ek Coon. They were early settlers to Magna which was then Pleasant Green, Utah.  We grew up in a large family surrounded by love and spent our childhood at Grandpa's house on 3500 S., west of 8400 W. The home is still there.We spent our younger years always gathering together at the park,  camping and always being together.  Our Dad's "Coonie" and Blaine Riley went to work for Hercules and we had the privilege of growing up in Bacchus Village. Homes were maintained by the company and it was a beautiful, green spot of heaven to us. Our ties to our friends in the village are special memories. Our family of approximately 1400 descendants is still a large family bound by love and only a handful of cousins born before 1940 are still lucky enough to be here with loved ones.                                                                                       
 Just like every family, each one will be missed as they leave and treasured memories will always be a part of who we are. Sincere sympathy and love to Spence and LaRae's  family. May your memories that mean the most live forever in your hearts. Until we meet again, rest in  peace sweet LaRae. You were much loved.

One of my favorite memeories of grandma. As a child I rememeber how she had magical powers of getting my hiccups to stop. Anytime I got hiccups, I would call her and she would do her magic by saying "Hiccup for me, come on I know you can do it, hiccup." Saying things like that they would stop.  Silly but I loved it. She also had an amazing sense of humor. I love you grandma.
