On December 2, 2018, Lawrence Earl Osborne Jr passed away in his home surrounded by close family members at the age of 70. He was a kind hearted man who had a deep love for his family and friends. He was the kind of man who could make friends and strike a conversation with anyone he met. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Calvin, brother and sister-in-law James and Cathy, and his sister Penny. He is survived by his wife Joan, children Lori and April (Lee). Step children Troy (Linda), Brenda, Michelle (Steve), and Jami. His surviving siblings are Ernie (Lois), Annie, Stan, Shereen (Lynn). He had 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was born on December 31,1947 to Lawrence Earl Osborne Sr and Barbara Pierce in Salt Lake City, Utah. He had spent most of his life in Utah, in 1966 he graduated from Granger High School. Two years later on February 29, 1968 in the Salt Lake Temple he married, and later divorced, his first wife Barbra Williams. He married again in the year 2000 to his current wife Joan Yeates Sandoval on October 12 in West Valley City. Lawrence had many accomplishments in his life including his service in the Army during the Vietnam War and serving many callings with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Lawrence had many hobbies and activities he enjoyed to do. He was a passionate baker and cake decorator. He was a huge Jazz fan and loved going to the games. He was also an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and camping. He had a strong love for animals, his favorite being his cat named Blackie. His family was his number one priority, visiting with his grandchildren and playing with his great grandchildren always brought him joy. The family would like to express gratitude towards Summit Hospice and all the caregivers, Danny, Chantelle, and Becky, who put so much effort into taking care of him and making the last few months of his life as comfortable as possible. Special thanks to the family members, Brenda Jones, Dylan Jones, Spencer Shipley, and Rachel Shipley, who also spent many hours ensuring Lawrence had everything he needed. Another special thanks to a great friend and neighbor John Peterson who, with no hesitation, would do anything for Lawrence.

You were the best Dad a girl could have I could go on and on with memories of growing up with such a amazing dad there was never a part of my life you were not a part of even after Joan wouldn't let you talk to me we'd still sneak and hang out go shopping or out to lunch you never gave up on me no matter what I'm so blessed to be born in the covenant so I'm guaranteed to be with you and mom I'm sure your so happy to be with her up in heaven I know you never stopped loving her you tolde all the time especially when she passed away and I know your up there with grandma, grandpa, Calvin, Penny, and your best friend and closest brother James and Kathy and I know your not suffering anymore your free to do your dancing and singing one memory I have to share is ring a little girl and you'd have me stand on your feet and dance around with me til I learned to dance on my own when I was little you, mom Lori and I would have dance parties to Elvis Presley or the Beatles you were the best Dad in so sorry I couldn't be there when you were sick but Joan didn't allow it I wasn't able to see you before you were buried or go to your funeral but you did call me 2 days before you passed away and you told me your time was near and you loved me and your 4 grandkids and your 2 great grandkids I know you were so happy I gave my sons the Osborne name so our family name will live on and there's another great grandchild who's not been born that will also carry on the Osborne name but I know your loving him up in heaven before he comes to earth I will cherish every memory I have of you no-one can take those from me your 4 grandkids will cherish every memory they have of you and little Myley your great granddaughter will grow up and know about you and I know your in a better place and your not suffering anymore and I know your up there dancing and singing which you loved to do I could never be upset you'd make me laugh when you'd break out dancing I love you Dad.
