Lee served his country with honor in the United States Navy for 23 years, retiring as a Master Chief. In the service, he received one of the highlights of his career, Navy Man of the Year at only 26 years old. Lee was a hard worker and led by example in all aspects of his life. Following his Navy retirement, he went on to work for the United States Post Office for another 17 years.
He was married and sealed to his sweetheart Dixie in June 1962, at the Salt Lake City Temple and was married 41 years until her passing in 2003. Later, he found love again and married Gerane in January 2004 at the South Jordan Temple and were together 17 years until her passing in 2021. Most recently he found a new love and after a whirlwind courtship, was married to Julie in February 2022 in Taylorsville, UT and they enjoyed nearly 4 loving years together.
Lee loved everyone he met and had a heart of gold. He would always take the time to show kindness, respect and consideration for others around him. He was an example of unconditional love and support by sharing in others’ wins and offering support in times of need without judgement. He was a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he served in several callings and found a great passion for family history. He enjoyed music, board games, reminiscing in precious memories, serving others and in recent years dressing up in fun outfits for the holidays to spread joy all around. Though, above all else, his greatest joy was his family.
He will be greatly missed and will leave a huge hole in the lives of his family and friends. He truly has a wonderful spirit, and is a loving son, husband, father, grandpapa, and friend.
Lee is preceded in death by his first wife Dixie, his second wife Gerane and his parents Kenneth Wilson and Alice (Parks) Wilson.
