Lela Anne Wooley was born October 21, 1999 in Salem, OR to Andrew James Wooley and Stacie Lynne Frost. She passed away on September 1, 2023, in Pleasant Grove, UT, at 23 years old. In her brief time with us, she packed a lot into life. Growing up, she was a voracious reader and loved to learn. She made friends quickly and easily - if you spent 10 minutes at the playground with her, you were besties. She enjoyed being a big sister and made up all sorts of games with her siblings. She loved her extended family too and had good times with many cousins, aunts and uncles. She loved going on adventures and exploring and was a rambunctious Girl Scout for many years. She especially loved riding horses at Camp Trefoil in Provo Canyon. She later completed a horse therapy program called Bridle Up Hope that let her spend a lot of time with horses, which she loved. She was always up for a trip, domestically and farther afield; she enjoyed trips to London, New York, Boston, Washington DC, Costa Rica and Mexico, and never met a national park she didn’t like. She created art and photography - she always had a camera and a sketchpad with her to capture moments of natural wonder or inspiration. She enjoyed painting and created works for relatives and friends. The love of her life was her rescue dog Bruce who accompanied her everywhere as a loyal companion, and who now misses her very much. She was very empathetic to others, and very loyal to her friends (who might have known her as Aiden or Eve). We loved her and will miss her for the rest of our lives. We hope she has found peace. Survived by her parents, Grandparents Sharalee Frost and Della Joan Wooley, siblings Juniper, Thatcher and Griffin Wooley, and lots of aunts, uncles and cousins.
