OBITUARY

Lidia Mori

February 27, 1928May 21, 2020

Our loving mother Lidia returned home to her father in heaven and awaiting family on Thursday evening May 21, 2020, she was 92. Lidia passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loving family. Lidia was born in Iquitos Peru on February 27, 1928. Her parents were Jose Perez and Fidelina Marin. Lidia married Obdulio Mori Rubio. Lidia bore six children and is blessed by 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Lidia dedicated her life to her family and friends. Lidia enjoyed learning new things and ingeniously improved on her new knowledge whenever she could.

In a dream, Lidia saw two young men dressed in white shirts who had an important message for her and her family. Not long after her dream, two young men dressed in white shirts came and knocked on their door - she invited them in. They were missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She knew the message they brought was true - she was later baptized along with other members of the family. Lidia became, and always has been, a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has great faith, loves the Scriptures, and prays always for the goodness of her family. Lidia served as a Temple Worker in the Lima Peru Temple. She enjoyed stitch work and made many beautiful table cloths and framed pieces. Lidia loved to sing and often teased for a good laugh. Lidia was thrifty and made tough times easier by being creative and doing the best she could with everything! Lidia's green thumb could grow anything and her healing hands made everyone feel better. Lidia had an eye for quality and cooked delicious food - always! We Love You Lidia! We Miss You Tremendously!
