Mrs Lila Broadhead

Lila Berniece McBride Morgan Broadhead, 91, passed away July 31, 2017, in Kearns, Utah. She was born November 29, 1925 in Grantsville, Utah to Gladys Geneva Morgan and George Ellis McBride. She married Dee Verner Broadhead February 24, 1944, later sealed in the Manti Temple on April 11, 1961.

Lila worked in the Jordan River Temple for over 25 years. She had many church callings and loved the scriptures. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, mentor and friend.

Lila is survived by four daughters, Janet L Shaner, Launa D Harmer, Billee E (Dwayne) Benson, Jaunita J “Janie” (Duane) Torsak; ten grandchildren, and 60 great and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dee V Broadhead; two sons-in-law, Roy Shaner, and Thomas Harmer; grandsons, Jeffrey D Clark; and Michael Morton.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah. Viewings will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017, evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the Funeral Home. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, Utah.
