Louise Nicholson Merry

March 22, 1927 – December 8, 2021
Obituary of Louise Nicholson Merry
IN THE CARE OF

Valley View Memorial Park and Funeral Home

Louise Nicholson Hansen Merry was born March 22, 1927, and died December 8, 2021.

Mom’s parents were Mark Chipman Nicholson and Edith Olsen Nicholson. She had two brothers, Nick and Dale Nicholson.

Louise graduated from East High School in 1944. She married Warner A. Hansen in 1947 and had three children, Leslee, Mark, and Wade.

Louise and Warner later divorced and she married Fred Merry which also ended in divorce.

Mom worked for Governor Herbert W. Maw during the 1945-1947 timeframe. She worked for Litton Industries and ultimately retired from the State of Utah Health Department. After retirement Mom volunteered at St. Mark’s Hospital for 16 years.

Mom loved her many friends and particularly enjoyed the friends and staff at Sagewood Assisted Living Facility. She was always quick with a smile and a laugh and always brightened your day if you met her.

Mom is survived by her daughter, Leslee Dalton (Bill Legare), son, Wade Hansen (Janis), grandchildren, Justin Hansen (Abbey), and Jordan Hansen (Chloe), and two great grandchildren, Tait and Riley Hansen.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and son Mark.

We are so grateful to the people at Sagewood Assisted Living for the friendship and love they shared with her.

Mom requested there be no service.
