Lyle James Reece

He married Patricia Ann Nelson on September 11, 1964 in Reno, Nevada. Later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple. He attended West High School where he was a member of the 1946 State Championship football team. He was a lifelong supporter of West High athletics and BYU football. He served honorably in the United States Air Force including the Berlin Airlift, Korea, Vietnam, and 16 years as an Aircraft Technician in the Utah Air National Guard.

Lyle is preceded in death by his parents, brother Donald Reece, and sister Lela Hillman.

Lyle is survived by his wife Patricia Nelson Reece, son Kyle (Taina) Reece and Kevin (Mary) Reece, three siblings, Joseph (Jan) Reece, David (Becky) Reece, Mazie (Drew) Binks, and four grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South. Family Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 17800 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah 84065. Interment at Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
