1960 - 2021
Manuel passed away on February 14, 2021, and was born on October 18, 1960, in Laguna, Philippines, out of Lamberto Quintos and Veronica Francisco's union. He was adopted by his stepfather Robert J. Stelmach. They came to the United States in January 1973. The Stelmach family lived in Pacific Beach, Washington, San Diego, California, and West Valley City, Utah. He graduated from Granger High School, West Valley City, in 1979.
Manny retired from Southwest Airlines after 23 years of service as a flight attendant. He enjoyed and loved working for the Airlines, which allowed him to travel all over the world. Manny was a caring, compassionate, loving son, father, brother, and friend. His kindness and caring heart had no limits; he gave it all.
"I have been through hard times. I've struggled like everyone else to find contentment, peace, and an understanding of what life is really about. I believe age has everything to do with finally knowing what life is really about, which is who we are and not what we have."
Mr. Stelmach's memory will remain forever in the hearts and minds of his family who he loved and cherished dearly. He is survived by his wife Jeannette; their two children, Jada and Jai; from his previous marriage with Rita, eldest daughter, Felicia (Germain Zubiate, Sr.); her four children Damion, Dominic, Germain Jr., and Geremiah; and eldest son, Manuel Jr. Manny is also survived by his siblings, Evelyn, Boy, Susan, Mary Ann, and John and many other beloved family and friends. Manny is preceded in death by his parents Lamberto Quintos, Robert and Veronica Stelmach, three brothers Lamberto Jr., Carlito, and Danilo.
