Margie Odell Compton

Married Doyle D. Compton on May 12, 1941 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. They were married for 56 years. Margie was a lifetime member of The Assembly of God Church. Margie followed our dad from New Mexico to Wyoming, then to Utah where they both retired in West Valley. Following our dad’s passing, Margie moved to Country Pines Assisted Living Facility in Clinton before being transferred to Rocky Mountain Care in Clearfield. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of fifty-two years, and her brother, Delbert Waldrop of Carlsbad, New Mexico. Survived by three children, Doyle Dwayne Compton (Helen) of Ogden, Utah; Edwin Eugene Compton of North Salt Lake and Danial Dean Compton (Brenda) of Fruitland, Idaho; five grandchildren, Earl Dwayne Compton of Fresno, California; Jeremy Eugene Compton of Phoenix, Arizona, Noah Paul Compton of West Valley, Utah; Allison Searle Compton of Ogden, Utah and Christopher Jordan Compton of Washington Terrace, Utah; 3 great grandsons, Skyler James Compton of West Valley, Utah; Caleb Earl Compton and Joshua Stephen Compton of Fresno, California. Margie never was the same after our dad died and will now be with him forever.

Graveside Services will be held for Margie on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. The family will receive friends at a visitation Friday one hour prior to the service at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South.
