Marie Williams Vance

Marie Williams Vance, age 96, passed peacefully from this earth July 3, 2017, in West Valley City, Utah. She was born June 2, 1921, in Fort Lupton, Colorado to Liza Jane Perrins and William Williams.

She spent her youth in Salt Lake City, where she met and married Stewart Lavor (Rex) Vance in December of 1937. Marriage was later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She had four sons. Marie was active in the LDS church throughout her life, having served in many callings. She enjoyed to crochet, camping, fishing, and archery. She loved parties and socializing with people. She lived a long full life and touched the lives of many others.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband; two sons, Ronald and Michael; and fifteen siblings, of which she was the youngest. She is survived by sons, Kenneth (Marge) and Steve (Linda); seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Monday, July 10, 2017. Viewing will be held at 12:00 noon at Valley View Mortuary, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, with graveside services at 12:45 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City.
