Marilyn B. Clark passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 28, 2017. Our mom was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, August 30, 1929. She was born to Grant L. Brown and Mary Sylvia Goble. At eight years old she lost her father which was a tragedy in her life. Three years later she asked Leo Varney to marry her mom, which now she had a complete family. She married Douglas G. Clark on June 12, 1950, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married 54 years. Mom was really devoted to her faith. She was called to many church callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had many talents including sewing, crocheting, and genealogy.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two grandsons. She is survived by her three daughters, Deborah (Frank) Crowe, Tamara Scott, and Cathy (Bill) Smith; brother, Jerry Varney; nine grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City.
